ABOUT THE CLIENT

The client is among top 10 media companies in the world. They operate in more than 50 countries and employ more than 20,000 employees.

SCOPE & CHALLENGES

The client approached AW asking them to provide them Legal Translators to work in their offices. Since the data was highly confidential, they requested us to select native Legal Translators who could be placed in their global offices.
The languages involved in this project were French, German, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Portuguese. The locations involved in this project were the company’s biggest offices in Asia. This project was more challenging than others because of the strict qualification criteria they required - Native Translator + Law Degree

ALONGWORDS SOLUTIONS

The AW Project Management Team quickly came into action. They developed a unique methodology to test the legal, language and translation skills of those they were considering for the job. Every person applying was required to pass a Legal Qualification Test which was created in their own language, and their legal skills were tested on the basis of their own local laws.
Finding translators with a Law Degree could have been very daunting but thanks to the AW proprietary database of 40,000 translators, they made the process very smooth and easy.
AW also conducted interviews on behalf of their client to check their spoken language skills were of the required standard. These tests were done in more than 10 global locations. Some of the recruited staff also traveled internationally to ensure this project was completed perfectly.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

AW completed this project in just 3 Months. It would have been very difficult in the absence of a good database of translators, but thanks to the standard of the AW proprietary database this job was completed quickly and efficiently.
The project was highly successful and AW is now their preferred choice of company for any language related requirement. We provided translators in following locations: Mumbai, Delhi, Hongkong, Tokyo, London and New York.
